Alaska Sablefish Marketing Organization was founded with the goal of increasing the awareness and market share of the Sablefish, otherwise known as Black Cod, within the United States. The ASMO team came to me in the early stages of their organization’s development to craft a brand identity that would help them appeal to two separate audience groups. The first being members of the Alaskan Sablefish industry to join board positions and donate toward the organization’s efforts, and the second is consumers nationwide. The result was a polished but approachable logo highlighting netting used in fishing practices and the black cod itself. We also created a coming soon page for the organization while they build their membership in preparation for launch.
