Meet your Designer

Katie Doyle

Greetings! I’m Katie, a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative thinker with a knack for design and development. My expertise stems from years of working in web design, branding and print layout for agencies, small businesses and everything in between. I thrive on fresh ideas, wildly ambitious clients and lots of coffee! I originally created Fresh Lines as a way to make some side money. That side gig has blossomed into an avenue to work some truly amazing brands and I can’t wait to work with you! Think I may be a good fit for your project? Reach and we’ll chat!

My Process

Beyond creating your dream brand and/or website my main goal is to make the process as seamless and enjoyable for you as possible. With clear project roadmaps, deliverable deadlines and frequent communication, I take the guesswork out of brand development and web design. You can rest assured that your projects will proceed on schedule and that your expectations will be exceeded. When you’re ready to get started, simply schedule an introductory call and we’ll go from there.

01 - Discovery

After you’re booked in, you’ll hear from me with the steps that need to be completed before work begins. This includes a client questionnaire about you, your business & how you envision your brand as well as putting together a Pinterest board of design inspiration (this can be any designs you’re drawn to, including color palettes, typography styles, etc.).

02 - Strategy

Once the initial steps have been taken and I know everything I need to know about you and your business, I will put together a mood board & strategy for your brand. It will include a presentation of the prospective design style that I will use as inspiration for your new visual identity, as well as talking about your target audience and brand direction. This is where we’ll agree on a rough color palette, typography direction, and design style to ensure we’re both on the same page and that the concept stage goes as seamlessly as it can.

03 - Design / revise

I’ll put together a concept presentation including up to 3 logo options for you to choose from, incorporating the colors, typography and design styles discussed in the strategy phase. Once the concept presentation has been sent and you’ve had time to process the designs, you can let me know how you feel. If there are revisions you’d like to see, this is where it’ll happen. Any revisions outside of those included in your package will be charged at an hourly rate of $80/hr (this rarely happens but I like to make clients aware from the very beginning).

04 - Development / iteration

Once the tweaks have been made and the designs are approved, I’ll then go on to design the complete brand identity for your business, from colors to branding elements, patterns and alternative brand marks, as well as tone of voice and anything else that springs to mind whilst I’m working. I’ll then go on to put together any included or add-on assets for your approval. We can then make any additional refinements you’d like.

05 - Launch

I’ll put together the final assets for you; this will include the logos in jpg, png, ai, pdf, and eps formats as well as full color and monochromatic versions, optimized for web and print. I’ll also send over any design elements, patterns, and backgrounds for you at this time. And lastly, I’ll create your brand style guide which is a comprehensive document outlining your logo and any alternative versions, your color palette (with hex codes, RGB, and CMYK codes), the fonts used for your branding, and any additional assets created. It’s a really handy document for you to have in case you work on any future graphics/need to change any social media profiles or when working with a printer that asks for specific color codes.

Now that your branding looks amazing, you’re ready to elevate your business to the next level, feeling completely confident in your visual identity across the board!
